When you are looking for tips on getting pregnant, you must have heard such suggestions as having a lot of sex or having intercourse on the 14th day of your cycle. If you are lucky, you can get pregnant by following these tips. However, if you do not succeed, do not worry, either. What you need to do might just give a little tweak to what you have heard. This article is going to analyze the myths and direct you to the correct road.
The first myth is having a lot of sex. It is right that having intercourse often will increase your chances of getting pregnant. However, you need to do it at the right time. Otherwise, you efforts will be thrown into the wind. If you have intercourse within or before the period of time when you are ovulating, it would be almost impossible not to get pregnant.
Another problem with this myth is that the chance of getting pregnancy can be reduced if you have too much sex. Do not panic yet. Let me explain. The vaginal secretions kill sperm. If the sperm are not strong enough, they will die before reaching the egg. When you have sex very often, e.g. every day, the produced sperm are very young and week.
The second myth is the ovulation time is on the day 14 of your cycle. This is right for those who have a steady cycle of twenty eight days. For others who have longer or shorter cycles, this myth will not work any more. The best way to determine your ovulation is by using an ovulation monitor.
In conclusion, the frequency of intercourse is not the absolute solution for those who are struggling to get pregnant. The fourteenth day ovulation timing is also not working for everyone.
